After long time.. I recalled my Diploma days during discussion with Aritra (CA colleague) and thought to write some thing about very innovative game in college days for snacks.
It was very successful game and our group enjoyed it for at least 6 month but at last some body insider like fake ipl player leaked the key of game. :(
As everybody know, how much money we have to spend in college days. Same thing we had in our college days but every body wanted to have heavy snakes. So what to do. This time I stood as a hero and found out a very nice trick in "Tambola".
Rules of Tambola. If reader knows the rule switch to next paragraph :
Everybody has to pick a number from a range. Suppose 4 players are playing and range is 20. so every player will pick a number. ex. A -> 3, B -> 7, C -> 11, D -> 13. Now in clockwise direction, everybody has to speak out one number and he cant speak out his own number. ex. A spoke 7 and 7 had chosen by B so B is winner and out of game. In this way guy who remained in the game at last is loser and that guy had to give treat to whole group. This was the magical game we used to play during snacks time.
Guys may be you are thinking it is very simple game. What is interesting in it???
We were 5 best friends in diploma. So we used to play this game with other folks who visited "Pappu Tea Stall" (the famous tea stall out side campus). There was very high probability we will get treat from this game. Why?? haha..
Now I am revealing my very secret trick which I used for this. We have common number which we use to select in round robin fashion. We had (2, 6, 10, 13, 17) numbers which we used to pick number from this pool and give first chance to new guy to select any number so he cant tell his number at first. Now we guys used to tell numbers from this pool and get out one by one.
In this way 4 out of 5 can win without any problem. At the end, 1 guy from our group and new guy remain in the battle.
Hard luck, out of 2, other guy won the game. Ohhh..... now new drama had to start. Now nobody feels hungry, one tea can be shared by two guys or some thing like that and what ever bill, shared by whole group. So it used to charge every body app 2 rupee for one snack round.
Now good luck, our guy won and other guy lost. Suddenly "Kumbhakaran" the devil wake up in each stomach and want heavy snacks.. :):) We used to order whatever available at tea stall (samosa, kachori, cigarette etc..).
Later on, we matured more this game and had a good strategy to find big fishes (financially strong guy) for this game. If any big fish visited to tea stall, we used to loose 1-2 games intentionally so that that guy get confidence in his faith and in 3rd game used to give him a "Jor ka jhatka dhire se" and get nice snacks party.
In this way, we followed this trick for more than 6 months but don't how this trick came out at the stall and that day we all had to disappear from that stall for 1-2 weeks. After that Gyanu took care but we never played this game again.
But for 6 months, daily we used to have handsome snacks without spending much from your own pocket. A nice way to save pocket money.. :):)
